The 5th Annual World Institute of Pain World Congress was held in New York City March 13 – 16, 2009. Dr. Ira Fox, co-founder of Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants was an invited speaker at this important international conference. He addressed this global group of physicians and specialists on “Political Affairs & Economic Reimbursement for Interventional Pain Medicine”. He also conducted a cadaver workshop for the interventional treatments for head and neck pain.
This Congress offered physicians an exciting, advanced, and multi-disciplinary look at pain syndromes and their management. The WIP pain conference plenary program also afforded attendees an exceptional opportunity to hear, meet and share the experiences of the world’s top lecturers in the field.
“It was a great experience to once again be part of the WIP World Pain Congress, to hear so many interesting stories and be part of a dynamic and pioneering group of physicians,” said Dr. Fox.
The 5th WIP World Pain Congress was themed “Better education, better relief,” and aimed to advance the management of pain centers to a level of excellence and to implement the knowledge continuously provided by various pain associations. This furthers WIP’s main goal – to better educate the pain physicians for the 21st century.
This was Dr. Fox’s 4th time presenting at the World Institute of Pain Annual Meeting.
